US East team update from the 2011 World Championships of Surf Kayaking

US East is doing pretty well in the individual competition leading into the quarter and semi finals.  We still have 4-5 competitors vying for placement in the next rounds.  However, we have been eliminated from the Team competition.  We were edged out by the US West by literally one point.  Our team has no Junior competitors which cost us at least 4 points.  Let’s get some youth into these competitions!  We congratulate the US West, Basque and England teams for moving on to the team finals.
